Dresden Bog Professional Review and Guide
"Paddle down the beautiful little inlet creek, past the beaver dams that bar most people as surely as a gate. Emerging from the marshy entrance, you will be struck by the varied beauty of this place, with many islands dotting the surface, emergent vegetation covering the pond, and mature trees lining the shore.
The pond is surrounded by tall trees, mostly deciduous on the western shore, with many very tall white pines along the eastern shore. The whole area has dense undergrowth down to the water and heavily vegetated islands. The water surface is covered with pickerelweed and wild celery, whose long leaves protrude up through and then lay flat on the water surface. This is a beautiful, peaceful, interesting place to paddle and well worth a visit."
