Peaks-Kenny State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Driving into Peaks-Kenny State Park will remind you why we seek out natural places. The long, winding road to the park travels through a corridor of tall, statuesque pines. Following this entryway inspires a feeling of reverence. I found myself involuntarily driving much slower and gazing in awe at the magnificent forest through which this road was carved, and wishing I was already out of my car and walking through the woods.
Peaks-Kenny is an exceptionally quiet and remote campground. All you’ll hear is the wind rushing through the treetops. The forest is a dense blend of coniferous and deciduous trees, including numerous birches, lots of dense undergrowth, and large boulders."
