Reversing Falls Park

Reversing Falls Park Professional Review and Guide

"A hike on a peninsula that goes through fields, woodlands, and by a narrow channel where the tide moves fast enough to cause a low waterfall to reverse itself. This municipal park is located on a remote point of land where the tide moves so fast that a person running cannot keep up with it.

This park is one of the best spots to observe the terrific height and force of the Bay of Fundy tides. Islands and ledges offer good photo opportunities. Ospreys and bald eagles glide over the bay and look for fish. Rockhounds find marine fossils along the shore here. General location: East of Dennysville and south of the town of Pembroke in Washington County on a peninsula in Cobscook Bay."

You'll see locals with signs for maps to the park. The old "you can't get there from here." Took some doing to finally locate the falls. Nice, short walk and incredible scenery. Make sure you check the tide tables first :-)
