Holeb Pond

Holeb Pond Professional Review and Guide

"Holeb Pond is a 1,055-acre pond located in the middle of the Holeb Parcel of the Maine Bureau of Public Lands. Attean Mountain and Sally Mountain provide a scenic background. This wild area is just west of Jackman, known as “the Switzerland of Maine.” In 1995, Holeb Pond was stocked with 9,300 brook trout and 1,000 splake. There is a slot limit on brook trout and splake. A primitive campsite is available.

Linking the Truckee River Parkway, the Tom Cooke Trail, and the Steamboat Ditch Trail offers a snapshot tour of the area’s premier riparian corridor, a long exploration of the scenic high desert landscapes of the lower Carson Range, and vistas of Peavine Peak and the Truckee Meadows."
