Camden Hills State Park Shared-Use Trails Professional Review and Guide

"Camden, "Where the mountains meet the sea," has attracted wide-eyed vacationers since the 19th Century, but not until recently has it drawn visitors due to its spectacular mountain biking opportunities. Now you can ride the super-technical singletrack, Summer Bypass, which pulls out all the stops in its rocky, challenging course. Before reaching the Summer Bypass, you'll tackle the doubletrack Snowmobile Trail, which offers a slightly lesser threat than the anticipated Summer Bypass does.

On return from the midpoint of the ride, you'll have a long shallow climb followed by a second run at the Summer Bypass. As an option for riders seeking a less difficult trip overall, the alternate start location, mentioned in the cues, gives access to a nice six-mile ride on gated gravel roads through Camden Hills State Park. Trail Surface: Rocky, twisting singletrack and doubletrack sandwiched around an open leg of gravel road"
