Colonial Fort Pemaquid

Colonial Fort Pemaquid Professional Review and Guide

"Colonial Fort Pemaquid, a state park and museum, overlooks Pemaquid Harbor and sits across Johns Bay from South Bristol. The fort (actually the site of several forts built over the years from 1630 to 1729) and museum are open to the public for a small fee, or you can roam the grounds on your own.

This is a convenient launch site. Exploring the area makes a great trip for kids with lots of options for a full day or a few hours of exploring. You can include numerous stops for a picnic or a swim in your plans."
