The White Trail in Linekin Preserve passes through a mature forest with a carpet of spring wildflowers and ferns, passing an active vernal pool. The trail then reaches the Damariscotta River atop a high bluff with fine views. Before turning back inland, there are two places with easy shore access. On the return, the blue-blazed Burley Loop follows a small stream to overlooks of a swamp and a beaver flowage.
