The hike up Puzzle Mountain follows the Grafton Loop Trail. The hike zigzags up through hardwoods, crossing and recrossing small streams before climbing in earnest to open ledges. From the ledges you have fine views of Grafton Notch, the Mahoosucs, and the Presidential Range. The trail continues climbing over granite that glitters in the sun because of mica flakes embedded in the rock. The summit and ledges below the summit have 360-degree views.
