Great Wass Island Professional Review and Guide
"Great Wass Island juts farther out into the Gulf of Maine than any other island you can drive to, making for excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The hike out Little Cape Point Trail passes in and out of several ecosystems before reaching Cape Cove. The hike up the coast to Mud Hole Trail can be strenuous unless you take time to stop and watch for sea life. The hike back to the trailhead on Mud Hole Trail is not as varied as the hike out, but passes through at least two distinct forest types."
