South Bubble Trail

South Bubble Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Rising steeply from the shore of Jordan Pond, this trail takes you up the 768-foot South Bubble, providing a fresh perspective on one of the twin mountains that dominate the view in this part of Acadia.

The trail also gives you a close-up view of another feature of the park—Bubble Rock, also known as Balanced Rock, precariously perched high above the Park Loop Road. Highlights: Climb to open summit of South Bubble; close-up view of Bubble Rock."
