Appalachian Trail is a hiking trail in Piscataquis County and Somerset County, Maine. It is 35.0 miles long and begins at 1,062 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 69.5 miles with a total elevation gain of 15,164 feet. The Moxie Bald Lean-to, Bald Mountain Brook Lean-to, and Horseshoe Canyon Lean-to shelters and Pleasant Pond Mountain (elevation 2,448 feet) and Middle Mountain (elevation 2,241 feet) can be seen along the trail. The trail ends near the Leeman Brook Lean-to shelter.
