Ship Harbor Trail

Ship Harbor Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This trail features dramatic pink granite cliffs along the shoreline and the opportunity to explore tidal pools and mud flats at low tide. There is a chemical toilet at the trailhead.

Although the hard-packed surface on the first 0.25 mile of the trail allows easy access to visitors with wheelchairs and baby strollers, subsequent sections can provide route-finding challenges, especially if you take shortcuts across mud flats, as we discovered one day."

The Ship Harbor Trail is a great walk for less experienced hikers with a beautiful view of the ocean and some of the best rock scrambling around. My family and I have been doing it for more than 10 years!
