Flying Mountain Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"This short hike leads to good views of the waters surrounding the entrance of Somes Sound."
--Jerry & Marcy Monkman, Discover Acadia National Park (Appalachian Mountain Club Books).
"This hike takes you up one of the lowest peaks in Acadia, yet it features one of the best panoramas, overlooking Somes Sound, Fernald Cove, and the Cranberry Isles. There are views of Acadia and Norumbega Mountains, and perhaps even of peregrine falcons in flight over nearby Valley Cove."
--Dolores Kong & Dan Ring, Best Easy Day Hikes: Acadia National Park (Falcon Guides).
