Rocks State Park: Hidden Valley Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"So simple, so scenic! Enjoy massive layers of rock and river views. This area of Rocks State Park, along an undeveloped riverbank, is located in the smallest of the three sections of Rocks State Park.
It’s such a short jaunt that it’s often overlooked, but what this Hidden Valley area trail is lacking in length is made up for in scenery and solitude. Unlike its “bigger brother” trails in Rocks State Park, the Hidden Valley hike doesn’t have an iconic ending like the King and Queen Seat and Kilgore Falls. Rather the scenery is quite dramatic on the entire short stretch.
With room for about ten cars, the parking area alone is a welcoming site, with an open meadow and water views. It’s a great spot to throw around a football or Frisbee, or plop in a beach chair with a fishing pole in hand."
