"Located near Thurmont, Maryland, Cunningham Falls features a beautiful 78-foot cascading waterfall, the largest cascading waterfall in the state, attracting visitors from around the region. Cunningham Falls State Park is situated in the beautiful Catoctin Mountains in
Frederick County. While the parks’ trail distances range from 0.5 mile to 7.5 miles, the shortest hike is the most popular, as it leads to the overlook of the cascading waterfalls.
It offers dozens of miles of hiking trails and an ideal destination for swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, camping, horseback riding, rock climbing, and cross-country skiing. Campsites and camper cabins are available for rent April–October."
