Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenways Trail Professional Review and Guide
"A favorite among birding diehards and wildflower enthusiasts, this trail follows the west bank of the Susquehanna River from the historic community of Rock Run to Conowingo Dam; along the way watch for bald eagles and other wildlife, plus rare and endangered blooms. The trail is flat, but careful footing is required in rough places along the first half mile. Biking this trail requires a mountain bike or hybrid. Spring is outstanding for its wildflowers; winter brings good bald eagle viewing and cross-country skiing. Surface: Crushed stone and dirt; wood decking in wetland areas."
