Pocomoke River State Park Shad Landing Area Campground

Pocomoke River State Park: Shad Landing Area Campground Professional Review and Guide

"Shad Landing is by far the busier of Pocomoke State Park’s two developed areas. It also offers much more in the way of facilities. Shad Landing feels very much like what you’d expect from a campground offering such amenities and natural attractions: busy. But it does manage to remain relatively laid-back. I think it’s the splendor of the area that makes people slow down and take stock.

Aside from the multitude of facilities and the abundance of campsites, two water trails distinguish Shad Landing from the smaller Milburn Landing. Because Shad Landing’s campground is bordered both by the Pocomoke River and Corkers Creek, the Corkers Creek Blackwater Canoe Trail, taking in the best of the cypress swamp, is easy to access. But the granddaddy water trail is the one from Shad Landing to Porter’s Crossing."
