Little Gunpowder Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Although smaller than the Big Gunpowder River, the Little Gunpowder has just as much to offer if not more in the way of bold rapids, scenic shoots, and attractive tributaries. This hike takes you through a covered bridge and follows only a short but spectacular portion of the 25.2-mile river. The starting point is a site to see in itself. The historic Jerusalem Mill Village is one of the oldest undamaged mill villages in Maryland. Many of the village structures are open to the public, including the gristmill, gun shop, black-smith shop, springhouse, and general store. The hike described here will take us to the final structure open to the public: the Jericho Covered Bridge."
