Rocks State Park Professional Review and Guide
"“Rocks,” as it’s called by climbers, is the Baltimore area’s best crag with its many high-quality topropes and handful of good leads. The schist-type rock climbs similarly to that of Carderock and Great Falls; however, the routes here are as much as twice as high.
Consequently, Rocks State Park is a destination area that many climbers drive several hours to visit. Don’t miss climbing here in late October or early November, as this wooded area is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. Rocks is also a good winter crag with its many south-facing walls."
