Green Ridge State Forest Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"These are wonderful campsites, all far from one another, within pristine forested settings, and with plenty of space to pitch several tents. Want to get away from it all? Camping in Green Ridge State Forest is almost too good to be true: 100 primitive campsites within 44,000 acres of oak and hickory forest.
If you want to choose your stay based on certain activities, here’s a rough guide: Choose sites 1–54 for hunting; 24–49, 55–79, and 86–88 for equestrian use; 80–85 and 90–100 for boating and fishing. No site is terribly far from a hiking trail (more than 50 miles in all in the forest), and forest roads are, in essence, “hikable” traverses."
