Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area

Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area Professional Review and Guide

"Known primarily for its rich equestrian heritage, the Fair Hill area does not conjure up images of mountain biking. However, this northern Maryland Natural Resources Management Area has some of the most enjoyable singletrack in the state. Similar to the trails in Patapsco Valley State Park, the Fair Hill Area offers a superb network of trails sure to satisfy the most demanding riders.

The earliest known settlers of the Fair Hill area were the Susquehannock Indians. They belonged to the Iroquois Confederacy. Looking for a peaceful home, the Susquehannocks left the Seneca Nation and settled in this area because of the natural abundance the northern Chesapeake River."

I make the trip down to Fair Hill from South Jersey all the time. There are other places inteh area like Middle Run & Iron Hill, but I love the flow of Fair Hill. I cam here first in 1999 and I have been making multilpe trips yearly. It is mainly XC and it could be an endurance test if you choose to link all the trails into one ride.
