Sugarloaf Mountain Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The summit of Sugarloaf Mountain is 1282 feet in elevation, and the park named for it boasts 17 miles of trails, the longest of which is the 7-mile Yellow Trail, a multiuse trail for hikers, mountain bikers (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), and equestrians.
The Yellow Trail trailhead is at the base of the mountain, while a majority of the park’s trails can be reached from trailheads at the East View and West View parking areas. The West View parking area is the busiest because it offers a short but steep route to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.
This 2-mile hike mainly follows the Blue and White trails and then finishes on the steep Red and Green trails. They are all well marked with blazes and signs posted at many intersections. The trail tread is rocky in most places and follows the rolling nature of the two main ridges that stem from the mountain."
