Every trail I've ridden where MORE has been involved has been great...once again a great trail network. Trails are VERY well mapped out with maps at every intersection so you can't get lost. Nothing super technical about the trails themselves other than a few log jumps, but you have the option of bypassing most of them. Tons of twists and turns. With all the hills out there they defenitely could have made some long ascents to make it more aerobically challenging, but a great course for beginner to intermediate riders and more well rounded riders can make it interesting by uping the speed.

My dad and I first started mountain biking two years ago and we started out here...it is a great place for all different skill levels. There are great jumps, and single track... the trails here never get old...this is the best mountain biking park in montgomery county

Best all-around, cross-country mt. biking trails that I've ridden and I've been riding for 16 years. Not as technical as your Gambrils and Sugarloafs (i.e. no rock gardens), but that just means no stopping and a great workout. You can create a 16-17 mile run if you hit all the trails.

Exceptional trail that offers a wide range of turns, obstacles that challenges the beginner but also offers them the ease to enjoy a great ride.

This is the tougher of the two trails, but just as much fun for all levels. The short length make two laps neccessary for most people, but it is full of felled trees and stream crossing to keep you interest.

Schaeffer is a great trail. The singltrack, although not terribly technical, is incredibly fun with its great turns and up and downs through trees. I've been caught breathless watching several deer cross my path on two separate occasions.

    Scott Adams & Martin Fernandez
"These trails are a perfect example of mountain bike advocacy at work and the ones that set the tone for the future of mountain biking, not only in Montgomery County, but in many jurisdictions around the region. A group of dedicated mountain bikers approached Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in hopes of gaining access to some nearby trails previously off-limits to bikes. The DNR went one step further and offered to build a new system of trails altogether in the Schaeffer Farms area. Today there are nearly 18 miles of accessible singletrack through Schaeffer Farms’ rolling fields and forests, with the option of connecting to nearly 50 more miles of singletrack within the same area."
