Janes Island State Park Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Janes Island State Park, at 3,147 acres, is thought of in two parts: the developed section and the outlying, rugged area accessible only by boat. And in between? Picture-perfect tidewater Maryland. As an added bonus, thousands of migrating waterfowl that stop over at nearby Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge can be easily spotted in and around Janes Island. It is, in a word, beautiful.
This is a water park, dominated by Tangier Sound to the west and the Big Annemessex River to yhe north. Accordingly, Janes Island offers six water trails: Red, Brown, Yellow, Green, Black, and Blue. Each offers unique access to area waterways."
