Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail is a hiking and biking trail in Cumberland, Maryland. It is within Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park. It is 15.6 miles long and begins at 607 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 31.2 miles with a total elevation gain of 1,048 feet. The North Branch Visitors Center information, Turner Ashby's Attack, Oldtown and Lock 70, Steam Pump, and another information board, and the Pigmans Ferry Hiker Biker Campsite, Irons Mountain Hiker Biker Campsite, and Spring Gap camp sites can be seen along the trail. There are also restroom, information maps, and drinking waters along the trail.
