Bigelow Hollow State Park

Bigelow Hollow State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Near the Massachusetts border, this eastern Connecticut state park boasts large ponds, deep woods, and tranquility. A barbell-shaped hike combines explorations of Bigelow and Breakneck Ponds.

Secluded coves, peninsulas, shrubby islands, deep hemlock stands, mixed hardwood forests, and showy midstories of mountain laurel entertain glances. Nipmuck State Forest abuts the park and carries part of the hike."
