Borderland State Park

Borderland State Park Professional Review and Guide

"The trail begins easily enough with a few small rocks in the trail and an equal number roots. The trails are marked fairly well, so finding the way is easy--although some new trails now branched off the established ones. To ensure that you are on the right path, stay on the trail that looks more traveled.

The new paths are thin and sometimes dead-end at back yards and paved roads. Most of the climbs here are short and steep, which demands that riders be prepared to shift at a moment's notice. The descents also come up quickly and the bouncing terrain makes chains jump off chainrings regularly. Terrain: Both technical singletrack and smooth, dirt and gravel doubletrack. Rocks are the most prevalent feature of the trail although roots do make an appearance from time to time."
