Orleans, Eastham, Cape Cod National Seashore, Wellfleet & Provincetown, MA Professional Review and Guide
"Eastham is the gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore. The ocean beaches here are among the finest in New England, and aficionados of surfing gather at Nauset Beach for some of the best conditions in the Northeast. The four beaches on the bay side of town offer warmer water and may appeal more to families with young children. The whole area abounds with sand dunes, lightly traveled roads (good for cycling), and nature trails.
Towns at the ends of peninsulas always attract visitors, and Provincetown has long been a summer colony for painters and writers, with art exhibits and theater available all summer. Eugene O’Neill did much of his early experimental work here with the Provincetown Players. “P-town” is a walking town, with narrow, interesting streets. This eTrail contains everything you need to getaway for a quick daytrip or a long weekend jaunt. A route map is included and as are suggestions for the best things to do, places to eat, and places to stay."
