Paradise Pond

Paradise Pond Professional Review and Guide

"Islands increase the amount of shoreline to explore on this small,
scenic pond. Shoreline shrubs bloom throughout the spring and summer, but nothing beats the spectacular mountain laurel display in June, when the entire shoreline seems lit up with pale pink blossoms."

We took our tandem kayak to Paradise Pond May 3, and had a really great time. The water is clear & clean, the shoreline varied & interesting with lots of islands, coves, and masrshes to explore. We saw a lot of wildlife: painted turtles, a Great Heron, ducks & geese, & songbirds of every description. Fragrant trees were blooming along the shore. Just beautiful. Soon the pond will be dotted with blooming water lilies. And there is a lovely picnic area and swimming spot in Crow Hill Pond just north of Paradise Pond. From the picnic area there are lots of good hiking trails, where our 3 dogs had a blast hiking offleash.
