Brooks Woodland Preserve Professional Review and Guide

"Two miles SE of Petersham Center. Three short hikes explore this preserve, traveling along pond, river, and brook, with the brook hike ending at the Indian grinding stones.

Special attractions: Swift River, Moccasin Brook, and Connor's Pond Indian grinding stones; stone walls and foundations dating back to the early 1800s; fall foliage; deer, fox, beaver, porcupine, and a host of birds."
