Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary

Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary Professional Review and Guide

"Broadmoor is a sanctuary rich in both wildlife and history. Thomas Swain’s mill was built in the 1690s and was powered by the waters of Indian Brook and the holding pond, or millpond. Today you can see not only the pond, but also two of the enormous millstones as well.

Broadmoor has become a very popular hiking spot because of its diversity of terrain and wildlife. At the nature center building you can pick up a copy of an excellent sanctuary map which details its nine miles of trails. Highlights: Stream, mill site, fields and forest, Charles River."
