Marblehead Rail Trail Professional Review and Guide
"Marblehead is one of the nicest beach communities north of Boston. This trail forks in two directions. Both branches are pretty, and both eventually lead to the Atlantic Ocean. The charm of this trail is its sense of suburban peace. As you follow the path, you can hear children playing in the backyards and neighbors chatting over their fences. The path is used by many local families. Mothers with strollers are among the most frequent users of the path.To take the spur headed toward Swampscott, the trail begins just south of the parking lot on the other side of Bessom Street. About 100 feet after crossing the street, the trail passes under the Village Street overpass. The fork in the path is just past the overpass. Take the path to the left to head toward the Marblehead Beach at the Marblehead/Swampscott border."
