Lynn Woods Reservation

Lynn Woods Reservation Professional Review and Guide

"Lynn Woods can boast being the second largest municipally-owned park in the United States--the largest being Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. Convenient to both the city of Boston and its suburbs to the north and south, the park has over 100 species of birds and other animals within its 2,200 acres--making it an ideal place for nature hikes, biking, and other outdoor activities.

One of the most talked about mountain biking areas in the region, Lynn Woods is made up of typical Eastern singletrack interspersed with a variety of other challenges like sandy, sketchy fire roads and lung-busting climbs. The ride mapped here encompasses the western section of the park and has sections that can test any rider's bike-handling skills. Terrain: Primarily single track with some fire roads and loose, rocky and sandy doubletrack uphills. Roots and rocks are predominant technical elements."
