Lynn Woods Reservation Professional Review and Guide
"Considered to be the second largest municipal park in the United States, Lynn Woods Reservation, a 2,200-acre forest park, was founded in 1881 and offers over 30 miles of scenic trails to explore. Even more remarkable is that this vast, open space feels like a downright wilderness at times even though it’s surrounded by dense suburban development.
You’ll be increasingly climbing through a mix of small pine, medium oak, and white birch. New growth is particularly prominent in this area to your right as the trail surface is mostly rock ledge. The road soon levels out into a grassy clearing before continuing to curve up to the right over a surface that’s rocky at different intervals. You’ll notice a rock ridge to your right as you’re progressing before reaching another intersection, where you’ll continue straight, descending off the ridge down through small white birch clustered to your left along with larger oak and pine to your right."
