Mount Greylock Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"You won’t find many campgrounds with a deeper sense of wilderness and seclusion than the one in Mount Greylock State Reservation: you’re up on the side of a mountain, deep within the forest. While you used to be able to drive up to the campground, getting there is now more akin to a backpacking experience. If you need access to your cooler and heavy cooking gear, you might want to try Clarksburg State Park or Savoy Mountain State Forest instead.
All these sites are remote, private, and spread out. Some of them are a bit small, but their rustic charm and deep-wilderness seclusion are irresistible. The sites are situated along the main campground road. Each is nestled within the dense forest of mixed deciduous and coniferous trees."
