Princeton Challenge Ride

Princeton Challenge Ride Professional Review and Guide

"Beginning in Lancaster and passing through a gauntlet of hills at the Sterling Leominster border, the majority of the Princeton Challenge route is a wonderful tour of the back roads surrounding Wachusett Mountain. Farmland and thick forests dominate the landscape, along with many water views at various reservoirs and ponds along the way. But make no mistake, this route is for hill climbers and others who enjoy challenging climbs and fun and fast descents on quiet, low-traffic roads.

The Princeton Challenge is a tough route with limited food and water stops. Be sure that you’re in good shape and well-prepared before heading out on this one. Also be sure to pay close attention to mileage on the directions, as many of the streets are not marked. Based on the popular Grand View ride run by the Charles River Wheelmen, the Princeton Challenge will test your climbing legs along a breathtaking backdrop of scenic country roads."
