Housatonic River Greenway Trail

Housatonic River Greenway Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Until recently this trail was just an idea floated in conversation among the Housatonic Valley Association, Crane Paper Company, and some innovative citizens around Dalton and Hinsdale. It is always exciting when a section of beautiful land is open to public use, and even more so when the area contains not only natural beauty but historic interest as well.

Such is the case with the Housatonic River Greenway Trail. The newly created path winds along the trout-filled East Branch of the river, through deep hemlock forests and past the ruins of once thriving mills."
