This trail is FAMILY FRIENDLY. Very minor hills, well marked and signed trails, nice places to stop along the way. There is a large boulder (15-20 ft tall) about 0.2 miles from the start that the kids can climb. The end of the trail at Ice House Pond is a serene, scenic little area with some rocks to sit on which makes a nice halfway stop. Lots of small fish to look at in the pond. My kids are 6 & 4 and they handled the trail easily and made good time doing it. Great afternoon with the family.

My family often walks in Beebe Woods. It is a great place to explore with your kids or dogs. Main paths are mostly wide and well kept, but some smaller side paths are in less good shape, though still pretty good fun with the kids who like a little bit of a bushwhacking feel to the hike. There is a large stone (a glacial erratic) for kids to climb on along the main trail and kids love to explore the Punch Bowl, a kettle pond in a rocky depression among the trees. For a longer walk you can hike toward Icehouse Pond or, if you don't mind a small slightly grown in path, you can walk all the way around the Punch Bowl.

It's not difficult hiking, but it is nicely maintained, and a great place for kids. The only drawback I find is that some people who walk there with their dogs do not clean up after them very well. This has gotten better in recent years, but I still would rather not have to warn my children so much to watch out for dog poo in the path!
