Chatham Harbors Tour Professional Review and Guide
"An easy, short ride from a railroad museum across town to the harbors, beaches, and lighthouses of Chatham. Opt for a side trip through busy downtown Chatham, a side trip to the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, or connect to the rest of the Outer Cape via the Old Colony Rail Trail (Ride 23).
Chatham is the outer elbow of Cape Cod, facing the Atlantic, Africa, and Europe to the east and Nantucket to the south. This ride gets to the water’s edge and rides past two lighthouses, beautiful harbors, a grand resort, and beautiful expensive homes. This is one of my favorite places to ride in summer, with a lot going on, and connects to the Old Colony Rail Trail (OCRT; Ride 23). Start out at the Chatham Elementary School parking lot (Chatham Railroad Museum) on Hitching Post Road and ride past Veteran’s Field and a big
playground on Depot Road."
