Mohawk Trail Scenic Drive

Mohawk Trail Scenic Drive Professional Review and Guide

"This 57-mile scenic route follows the Mohawk Trail, the first designated scenic road in New England, from Greenfield in the Connecticut River valley to the quaint college town of Williamstown in far northwestern Massachusetts. The drive also makes a 9-mile detour south to the airy summit of Mount Greylock, the state’s highest peak. One of New England’s most beautiful and famed scenic roads, the Mohawk Trail is a drive to be savored and enjoyed time after time, season after season.

Special attractions: Shelburne Falls, Mount Mohawk Ski Area, Catamount State Forest, Deerfield River, Berkshire East Ski Area, Mohawk Trail State Forest, Savoy Mountain State Forest, Florida State Forest, Natural Bridge State Park, Western Gateway Heritage State Park, Mount Greylock State Reservation, Clarksburg State Forest, Williamstown, Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, Williams College Museum of Art, scenic views, rafting, kayaking, hiking, camping, and fishing."

My husband and I drove this from Greenfield to North Adams. We went up Mt. Greylock. The drive was spectacular. We recommend this drive.
