Auburndale Park and the Upper Charles River

Auburndale Park and the Upper Charles River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Boston Common and the Public Garden are fantastic urban parks, and their location in the middle of Back Bay make them ideal for a quick fix of greenery. This ride takes you from the heart of the city in Kenmore Square to a true wooded retreat: Auburndale Park in Newton.

Complete with deep forest and marshy lakes, it will make you forget just how close you are to a major city before following the treelined banks of the Charles River back to Boston along the Blue Heron Trail and the Esplanade."
