Caught a nice sunny day to ride this trail. OK combination of back roads and waterfront views. If you're on a casual ride, take some time at the lighthouse at mile ten. There were many areas on the sides of roads that had potholes, so you'll have to make sure you look ahead. There were roads that were not maked with signs which probably added another mile or so for back-tracking. I road the trail in July and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no congestion from beach goers. Finally, it's listed as a 26.8 mile ride. If you follow the route that takes you to the right out of the school parking lot at the start, then be prepared for two short, steep hills within the last half mile. Make sure you save some energy for the end.

It was a great trail overall... it would have been nice if the instructions said, "Exit school parking lot and turn RIGHT." We obviously guessed wrong. Many of the roads aren't clearly marked, but we made it without getting lost. It's a great ride for beginners or those without a lot of time. Easy and very pretty.
