Becket Land Trust Historic Quarry and Forest

Becket Land Trust Historic Quarry and Forest Professional Review and Guide

"The Becket Quarry is a place frozen in time. This hike takes you past rusting vehicles, sheds, and other abandoned artifacts of the granite industry. A well-marked trail network winds through northern hardwood forest, among granite boulders, over a small brook, and to a panoramic vista.

From the west: From Exit 2 (Lee) off the Mass Pike (I-90), turn left after the tollbooths onto US 20 and follow it for 12.1 miles to Bonnie Rigg Hill Road on the right. Follow it uphill for 1.3 miles to an intersection with Quarry and Algerie Roads. Turn left onto Quarry Road and drive 0.9 mile to the gravel parking area on the right."
