Sandy Neck Trail

Sandy Neck Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Sandy Neck on Cape Cod is a 6-mile-long coastal barrier beach that offers hiking trails that follow along the isolated shore, wind among sculptured sand dunes, and wander past the lush Great Marshes. Due to the loose nature of the sandy soil, walking is arduous and this is a hike for those in very good physical condition.

Arrive early to take advantage of the morning coolness (or hike during the cooler seasons) and don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and hats for everyone. A book to identify animal tracks in the sand will turn the kids’ attention away from their hot, tired feet."
