Morris Island Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"On the tip of Morris Island, this trail shadows Nantucket Sound. Very steep stairs and soft sand may make this a less attractive hike for the faint of heart. If you attempt the hike, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and an occasional seal sighting. This is a must-see for the ocean lover.
Morris Island offers a small sampling of the unique habitats of the Monomoy Islands and is the only section of Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge accessible by land. Countless shore birds, waterfowl, and songbirds rest, feed and nurture their young here. During certain times of the year, seals frolic offshore in the shallow waters."
