Cape Cod Canal Bikeway Professional Reviews and Guides

"Located at the neck of Cape Cod. Parallel bike-and-pedestrian ways travel the canal's north and south shores much of the way between Cape Cod Bay and Buzzards Bay.

On the north shore, find Bournedale Interpretive Trail and Sagamore Hill Trail, two short trail that introduce the area history. Special attractions: Fishing, bird watching, historical sites, spring flowers, azalea, multiple accesses (some with comfort stations)."

"A flat, often windy, scenic, and smooth paved path that hugs the curves of the Cape Cod Canal, gateway to the Cape Cod peninsula. A favorite spot for fishermen where you can watch ships from around the world pass through, and see travelers overhead on the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges."

"A 63-mile scenic route along the historic south shore of Cape Cod Bay and up the Outer Beach along the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Cod National Seashore to Provincetown at the Cape’s northern tip."

This is a great trail for all ages. You see people of every age out walking, jogging, bicycling, and roller blading. You don't have to wald the whole thing but can park your car and walk a while then double back. The rest rooms and food stand is great--especially while my husband is fishing! We really enjoy just spending the day fishing, walking, and picnicing in a nearby grassy area! Very enjoyable!
