Rattlesnake Knob

Rattlesnake Knob Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This modest loop climbs through forested trails to the saddle between Mount Norwottuck (the highest peak of the Holyoke Range) and Long Mountain, reaching two stirring outlooks at Rattlesnake Knob.

While you won’t see many rattlers here, the region is rich with cultural and natural history, including a museum of dinosaur footprints. This hike is entirely in the town of Granby, except for the knob itself, just across the town line into Amherst."

Beautiful day but muddy. The trail was not clearly marked, and we ended taking a different trail.
