"The Minuteman Bikeway has it all. It’s close to Boston, it’s historic, it’s located in a lush and beautiful area, and it’s great for families. Its historical significance is of particular note. The trail closely approximates the route Paul Revere took on" Read more
"Arguably the most popular bike path in the Commonwealth (and one of the most traveled in the country), the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway connects Cambridge to the historic towns just beyond Greater Boston, including Arlington, Lexington, and Bedford. This paved rail-trail makes for a smooth, peaceful ride outside the city along a corridor shaded by trees and lined with the remnants of stone fences that date back to the origins of our country." Nice to walk, bike or rollerskate on relatively level paved path. It can be crowded at times esp. in Arlinggton sections. The views change from multiple ball parks to excellent vistas of Arlingto Great Meadow.

Too many people, scenery is ok at best. I've seen quite a few broken bottles. Area near Alewife T station is not very safe at nigt.

Danger! Too many people on cell phones and with ear buds. Nice scenery, but it's safer to ride on the roads.

Good trail. Pretty scenic. Lots of informational signage along the way. Easy ride. A few stops along the way for rest/refreshments. Nice stop at the Lexington Visitor Center.
