North-South Trail Professional Reviews and Guides

"Finally, after all these years of mountain biking, we get to ride part of the North-South Trail! Only recently opened to mountain bikes, the 31-mile trail comprised of single-track and smidgen of old woods roads running from the North Welcome Station to Golden Pond is a great all-day ride.

If it's not enough for you, it links to the Canal Loop, giving you 45 miles of knobby-tired fun. If you're not up to the whole enchilada, it's easy to break this ride into shorter loops. Water is a big feature on this ride. This trail is located between Grand Rivers and Golden Pond."

We had a great time on this trail. This trail was marked really good. We were able to get up some good speed even though there were leaves covering the trail. The hills were balanced out. I didn't get tired so quickly on this path. We are already planning our next ride for this trail.

Excellent trail, very well maintained; however a couple of places have hard to find trail markers. Give yourself plenty of time to complete this trail or have some lights; you can get caught off guard very easily.
