River Mountains Trail Professional Review and Guide
"The River Mountains Loop makes its way around the hills outside of Las Vegas, offering great views of the Las Vegas valley and Lake Mead. The loop is a favorite of road bikers because it has several challenging climbs. The River Mountains Loop is a trail that was created to connect Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Hoover Dam, Henderson, Boulder City, and the Las Vegas valley into one enjoyable ride. The trail might not have happened if it weren’t for the combined efforts of private landowners, citizens, and many of Nevada’s resource management agencies to link several separate unofficial trails into one. The 12-foot-wide trail is asphalt in most areas and cement in some, with a dashed yellow line running down the center almost the entire length of the trail."
